Urban Sketching Japantown!

Saturday, February 22, 2020
10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Instructor: Eileen P. Goldenberg
$160 Center Members
$175 General Public
(Optional) Deluxe Handcrafted Felt Sketchbooks available for an additional $55

You might walk through the Plaza in Japantown often, but have you noticed how many levels are in the pagoda? Have you really looked at the seating made of stone? Urban Sketching is careful observation and drawing your environment.

This fun and lively workshop will teach you the basics of sketching with pencil, pen and watercolor. No experience needed!
We will start inside where Eileen will demonstrate using the materials and then we will head out to a location in Japantown. You will receive a starter kit with a small sketchbook, a paper watercolor palette, pen and pencil. If you have supplies, please bring them!

Eileen will bring a few of her hand made, felt covered, Fearless Felt Watercolor Journals for purchase for an additional $55.

Mission of Urban Sketching:
Our mission is to raise the artistic, storytelling and educational value of on-location drawing, promoting its practice and connecting people around the world who draw on location where they live and travel.
