Kanzashi are hair ornaments used in traditional and modern Japanese hairstyles that are often made from folding fabrics into different ornamental shapes, including flowers and leaves. Learn how to make your own traditional kanzashi accessories from fabrics to be worn with your yukata or kimono, or every day use! This workshop is perfect for those looking to add to their ensemble in time for summer obon season!

About Ajna Kenning:

Ajna Kenning is a dancer and performance artist originally from Prague in the Czech Republic. Because of her need for hard to find props, costumes and accessories to enhance her performances, she began making them herself. Soon, she was receiving requests from other performers to create props and costume items for them. As the word spread, Ajna found herself devoting more and more time to her growing business.
